The Department of Otorhinolaryngology provides diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose and throat disorders.

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery is also known as the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) department. We care for male and female patients of all age groups with relevant diagnoses and provide elective (appointment-based) surgical and non-surgical services for outpatients and inpatients.

The aim of the ENT department is to focus on excellence in the provision of medical services. Our vision is to develop a center of excellence, where sub-specialties in Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. We strive to develop a chain of transferable knowledge where our philosophy of teaching and training, including our skills and ethical behavior, can be passed on.

In terms of therapeutic services, our team of dedicated professionals attends to major diagnoses which vary from acute and chronic tonsillitis (inflammation of the tonsils), otitis media (middle ear infection) and balance disorders to airway obstructions. We provide general ENT clinics, in addition to specialized clinics (in areas including otology (branch of medicine concerned with the ear), cochlear implants, pediatric otolaryngology, voice, speech and swallowing problems and snoring).

We work collaboratively with the Sleep Lab in cases of snoring and sleep apnea, with Radiology for diagnoses, with the Allergy Pulmonology Lab for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and finally the Speech Therapy Unit for swallowing and speech disorders.
